My husband reminds me everyday about the not-so-convenient kitchen we have. I thought a cool vintage kitchen complete with a fifties stove, arches and solid wood cabinets from 1938 would rock. It does NOT. We realise it has some problems. All the cabinets are taped to stay closed in this picture. The radiator takes up three cabinet spaces- ample needed storage space.

This arch, even though it is sooooo beautiful is in the way. Everytime I open the refrigerator door it hits it and the frig is a mini frig. The arches are why I loved this kitchen. One over the sink and one in our breakfast nook.

Oh boy and the flooring, hmmmm how to address this? It is vinyl and I bet back in its day the floor was stylin'. Now it's just super worn in places and has this 80's acid wash jeans look to it. Good news for us, there is hardwood under that tacky vinyl.

Our sink and faucet remind me of an old man.

I'd like to replace it with a farm sink like the one in this picture.

I spent my whole night last night looking at farm sinks. There are just so many choices! I like the vintage look the sink has to offer.and the deep basin. Now all I have to do is spend another night looking at faucets!
